It's safe to say that 2020 threw some seriously tough times in everyone's path.

Indeed, with the Australian Red Cross experiencing its biggest demand since World War II, it's understandable that we all need a bit of help navigating and confronting the litany of challenges.

Doing its bit to ease the burden, and pretty much instantly lightening the mood, is The Worst Block in Town, an adorable and insightful animation following a charming protagonist as he struggles to keep up with his daily do-gooding.

Created by DDB Sydney and brought to life by UNLISTED and EDDY's TURBOPASCAL COLLECTIVE [directors Antoine Marchand, Benoit de Geyer d’Orth, Paul-Eugène Dannaud, Fabien Meyran], the film not only endears with its likeable aesthetic, but also give us a delightful soundtrack to match - Where to Start, an original track written and recorded by Australian artists Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall

“This project was a labour of love by a global force of brilliant creative people," comments Matt Chandler, DDB Sydney’s ECD, "from the incredible craftsmanship of the animators to the impossibly whistle-able track that Kate Miller-Heidke and Keir Nuttall wrote pro-bono for us. At every stage, we were blown away by people’s willingness to jump in and get involved in support of Red Cross.”
