Today sees the launch of Isolation Radio Station, a dedicated source of listening created for and by those in the advertising, music and filmmaking industries.

The brainchild of The Elements Music and supported by shots, the station will host playlists of music suggested by a series of industry figures from music, advertising and film.

"When I need cheering up, I make playlists," says The Elements Music Executive Producer Dann Liebermann. "A few weeks ago, when things got real with the coronavirus, I made one and it got me thinking about how much I'd love to listen to other people's in our industry. What songs they would need to get through isolation. Kind of like that game, 'who would you sit next to at a dinner party if you could invite anyone?'

It's about sharing music with others that has meaning to us, getting a little emotional, feeling a little nostalgic and having a dance at the end of the day, albeit by ourselves in our homes.

"I floated the idea with some close friends and it was a resounding 'YES!', so Isolation Radio Station was greenlit. This is such a unique situation. We're all in this together and music is so good at bringing us together. It's about sharing music with others that has meaning to us, getting a little emotional, feeling a little nostalgic and having a dance at the end of the day, albeit by ourselves in our homes."

"Our team is normally sitting together listening to music we’re working on, talking about records we dig, and generally enjoying each other’s company," adds The Elements Co-Founder, J Bonilla. "Working from home, we’ve all been missing that so badly, and figured others were likely feeling the same. It felt so good to reach out to some of our buds across the industry and just connect with them through music. We hope everyone enjoys all the jams. We also owe a huge thank you to Jon Duncan, a phenomenal artist/composer who’s also a web dev/design whiz and did the technical heavy lifting in putting this together.”

The track compilations will be hosted on Spotify and we will be highlighting certain playlists each week in our One Track Mind feature, which will include insight from a selection of the creators about some of their tracks and the reasons why they chose them.

Kicking off One Track Mind is Droga5's Senior Music Supervisor, Mike Ladman, and you can click here to read about some of his choices and discover his playlist.
