Shot with an eye for the epic and cinematic, A Boy From San Mateo takes in the whole picture, traveling through Tom Brady’s journey from childhood to the Super Bowl.

A young boy gets left behind on the streets as his friends run ahead. A coach tells Tommy to keep up, a professor asks Tom to pay attention, a phone rings, and Brady reveals that he’s been drafted by Bill Belicheck for the New England Patriots. All of it framed in-between milliseconds of a final snap of a football game.

With clarity and self-awareness that feels authentic, Rune Milton directs this short film for IWC Schaffhausen, going through the most significant moments in his life leading up to the next big game. The film locks in on the renewed momentum around his story as he leaves the Patriots to QB for the Buccaneers for the first time.
