Vagabond, swashbuckler, hawk-eyed lens man and dry ‘lol merchant’ Jon Barber has arrived.

Writer and director Jon Barber has joined MindsEye for UK representation. The international director obtained his love of travel from having a military father but admits that seeking the best projects from around the globe, has continued to fuel his passion for adventure. We look forward to continuing on this quest together.

His recent work for Pro Infirmis We Are All Equal, focuses of people with various disabilities and casts them in an everyday light. It was highly acclaimed across the festival circuit, including Cannes, picking up four Lions in the process. He comments, “It’s obviously great to have work recognised but with this particular project it was wonderful to both draw attention  to the cause and to celebrate the amazing people that helped make the project what it is.”

He continues, ‘I love a challenge, whether that be creative or technical and when you have a great idea and a good connection with client and agency, nothing can stop you!’

Mindseye MD, Hughie Phillips comments that “Jon’s work for Pro Infirmis was such a standout piece of work, brilliantly observing everyday moments in a lightly comedic way, that brought a level of authenticity and belief to the lives we were witnessing. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to work with Jon.”

Jon concludes that “having worked across Europe, I’m really excited to find the right home for me in the UK at MindsEye”

Jon has worked with Snickers, Ebay, BMW, Timberland, Burger King, Pepsi, FIFA and MasterCard to name but a few   of the global brands that have entrusted him with their content, as well as some of the best creative agencies the world has to offer.
