To celebrate the 50th anniversary of mankind landing on the moon with the Omega Speedmaster, the watchmaker has released a stylish black-and-white short featuring George Clooney and Apollo astronaut Charlie Duke.

Titled The Longest Minute, the film, helmed by Hungry Man’s Richard Bullock, follows a visit by  brand ambassador Clooney to the Kennedy Space Centre, where he chats with the man who was in direct communication with Armstrong and Aldrin as they made their historic giant leap. One of only four men alive today who has walked on the lunar surface, Duke made his own moonwalk with Apollo 16.

The film celebrates this historic and momentous moment in history and the collective effort of more than 400,000 people who worked on the space program, as well as the vital role played by the Omega Speedmaster.
