With many of us working from home these days, the new spots promoting The Office on Peacock have playfully mixed an experience we can identify with alongside the quirky qualities of the sitcom. 

The trio of ads that accompany The Office from its new home on NBC’s Peacock mimic the show’s tongue-in-cheek humour and production quality.

The commercial spots were directed by The Office expert Paul Lieberstein, who served as a director, writer, showrunner and actor on the series. “It was a blast revisiting The Office’s take on the mockumentary, it’s such a specific style, the skill set to make it was so unique, and it felt great to be able to put it to use again,”

Lieberstein said. “I hope these spots evoke The Office for viewers, make them excited for it, and make them nostalgic about viewing it again on Peacock, part of the NBC family where it first aired.”

This marks the first time that Peacock has extended the show’s IP to advertisers for use in their marketing. To make it happen, NBCUniversal enlisted the help of Lieberstein, who brought back the signature quick-zooms and confessionals of the hit show.
