Noting research that millennials are delaying having babies, the pet brand has launched a drive to find loving homes for shelter dogs, suggesting that pooch parenting could be a great way to start families instead.

Its hilarious multi-platform campaign from Colenso BBDO NZ features a trio of films, produced by 3&7, that celebrate the joy of dog-parenting.

In Park, a Dad watching his slightly dull child failing to get the most out of a playground slide becomes concerned after chatting to what appears to be a slack mother. “Which one’s yours?” he asks. She breezily admits she can’t at present see her charge, “he’s off playing with someone by the bushes, he’s so popular with strangers, he’ll follow anyone with a treat.”

In Club a refreshingly bonkers carefree couple enjoying a bop explain to new friends who have to rush home to the babysitter that they leave their four-year-old home alone with toys and food.

Hose sees an exasperated mum trying to wash an angry baby-food coated tot bemused by a woman who says she uses the popular garden water jet method to clean her baby.

The campaign also features a set of puppy-love themed posters, and even a fun online slide presentation

Slides feature such human/pooch comparisons as, ‘judgement from strangers when naked in a park' and a graph charting ‘cuteness over time’ quotient that follows a human's falling cute-ometer rating – with a sharp drop during puberty – set against the more reliable adorability of a dog.
