A new signing at production company FRIEND sees director Sasha Rainbow join the roster, bringing experience across documentary, commercial, and music video work.

Rainbow’s career spans award-winning documentaries including Kamali and Kofi & Lartey, as well as her feature debut Grafted. Her work often centres on real stories and characters, combining observational detail with strong visual craft.

In commercial and music video work, she has collaborated with brands such as EE, KFC, Puma, Lancôme, and Apple, and has directed videos for artists including Suki Waterhouse, Placebo, Franz Ferdinand, Sparks, and Wild Beasts.

Luke Jacobs, Founder, said: “I’ve been such a fan of Sasha for years, she’s built a formidable reputation. Her EE film was a real standout in the last couple of years, and I can’t quite believe I get to be working with her, excited for the stories we’ll tell together.”

Rainbow adds: “Friend is all about bold ideas and brave filmmaking, exactly my habitat. And now I get to call them home! I’m thrilled to be part of the mischief, the magic, and whatever wild stories we shape next. Can’t wait to create work with bite, beauty, buzz, and a pulse you can feel from the back row.”

The company works across commercials, online content, and music videos, collaborating with agencies, clients, and artists through a varied roster of established and emerging directors.
