LOLA MullenLowe continue their series of diversity-themed ads for Magnum in a new ad based at a wedding between two woman who share both a life and a white chocolate Magnum, not in that order.

In The Ceremony, directed by Martin Werner of Proppa&Bacon, we follow a bride as she gets ready, walks up the staircase to the ceremony on her father's arm, then enters the hall. At this point, the ad challenges the viewer's assumption by showing her bride-to-be waiting at the altar, clad in a similarly opulent white dress.

The remainder of the ad shows the rest of the wedding ceremony, with the product only appearing right at the end after the obligatory hashtag, which in this case is #PleasureIsDiverse. Love, it seems, comes in as many varieties as Magnums, with some liking ordinary milk chocolate while this writer enjoys the pink raspberry-flavoured Magnums. Take that as you will.

This ad continues Magnum's committment to LGBT representation in its ads that began with Be True to Your Pleasure, a 2015 ad also by the same agency-production-director team that featured models and actors who do not conform to traditional gender roles, including transwomen, gender non-binary individuals and drag queens united by their love of choc ices on sticks.
