With this being the 'Peak TV' era, we've heard that TV shows like Breaking Bad, Fargo and Game of Thrones are 'the new novels' and 'the new films'. We've never, however, heard them described as 'the new tapestries'. That could be set to change with the Game of Thrones Tapestry, which brings six seasons of the show onto nearly 80 metre-long Bayeux-style embroidery for Tourism Ireland by Publicis London.

On display in the Ulster Museum and online, the linen tapestry features moments from every single episode of the show so far, including *spoiler*, *spoiler*, and who can forget *spoiler* when *spoiler* stabbed *spoiler* in the *spoiler*. It also showcases many of the Irish locations that doubled up for the mystical realms of the TV series and books.

It will also be updated weekly to reflect the goings on of the seven episodes of season seven, currently showing on TV. And yes, the first panel will feature the widely-panned Ed Sheeran cameo, Sheeranistas out there.

Although most people will experience the work on its website or on the Tourism Ireland social media accounts, a huge amount of craft went into the real tapestries, with all 77 metres of it woven onto a single piece of linen produced by one of the last linen mills in the country.

This campaign follows on from last year's Doors of Thrones, a big winner at the 2017 Creative Circle Awards. In this campaign, the agency had doors carved from trees uprooted by Storm Gertrude, with a door produced for each episode of season six of the show.
