100Weeks - an organisation that uses donations to directly help people living in poverty – has created this insightful campaign created by Monks director Karlijn Hendriksen, showing how empowerment through a simple approach can build better futures for women.
Supporting 100Weeks’ mission to help women out of poverty within 100 weeks with a weekly donation of $8, the film offers a look into the daily lives of Epiphanie, Claudine and Madeleine, who use the money to start small businesses, help their families and build better futures, combining footage from their lives with a distinctive illustration style.
Hendriksen, Creative and Film Director, says: “It’s been an incredible experience to work together with Epiphanie, Claudine and Madeleine, and to capture their lives and mission to move not just their own lives, but that of their families and communities forward. Many women around the world still need this kind of opportunity and it’s been great to support 100Weeks’ mission with this film.”
