McCann Urges Skaters to Use Syrmo
Introducing Syrmo: a new app and smart pad that clips to your skateboard to let you relive and review your tricks.
If you’re a skateboarding aficionado, you’ll be pleased to know that there’s a new piece of tech that could transform your skating experience.
Familiarise yourself with Syrmo: a smart pad that fits to the base of your skateboard that lets you track every movement and record every trick.
McCann Madrid led the initiative and spoke to skateboarders to find out what sort of product could be created to improve their experience.
All the data will be collected on an app, where skateboarders can easily watch their tricks in 3D allowing them to improve and work on their technique.
Skateboarders can also see how they measure up against other skaters, find new skateboarding routes and even set friends skating challenges – making Syrmo a kind of skating social network.
To launch Syrmo, four pro skaters were invited to compete in The Dark Side of Skateboarding competition. What made this contest so unique was the fact that it took place in the dark and was judged completely by Syrmo based on the diversity and quality of the ricks performed.
