Kasabian fans logging in to Facebook at 7pm on Tuesday May 9 were met with a special surprise as directors Aitor Throup and Sing J Lee of Partizan co-directed a video for the band in real-time, with the one-take music video streaming live.
The video, for the track Looking for Some Action from the band's latest album For Crying Out Loud, sees frontman Serg Pizzorno vamping through a pub/club, showing us his numerous moves and numerous costume changes. At times, he is joined by co-frontman Tom Meighan, who at one point bursts out of a cake playing a saxophone. He pops out a beat too late, but that's part of the charm of shooting live.
Filling out the pub is a selection of eccentric characters. Imagine the dancers in Daft Punk's classic Around the World if they took a break from dancing and got a few rounds in, and you've got a pretty good idea of the cast; people in skeleton masks, pirates, and band members Chris and Ian as a king and queen playing cards.
