Forever Beta have created a satirical party political broadcast for The Can't Be Arsed Party, encourage apathetic Britons to vote on June 8th.
Fronted by Nas Osmanoglu, who starts the film by pretending to urinate on 10 Downing Street, the film sees the comedian canvassing the streets, speaking to apathetic voters who shrug, roll their eyes at politics and, in one scene, call Osmanoglu a 'cock womble'.
Behind the satire, the jokes, and the Ian Hislop cameos, however, there is a serious message; more people did not vote in 2010 (15.8 million) than voted for any specific political party.
This statistic spurned Forever Beta into action. As ECD Matt Saunby said, "I just want young people to get off their arse and vote. We live in a great country and when you live in one, it’s easy to sit back and not do anything. I wanted to highlight how ridiculous it is not to do anything."
