ISL Challenges Players to Identify Fake News
iStrategyLabs has created an app to test readers' knowledge of real & fake headlines.
It’s becoming more and more difficult to determine which news is real and which is fake, but thankfully iStrategyLabs (ISL) has created a Tinder-inspired app to put readers to the test and help them sift through the lies to get to the truth.
Launched yesterday, Fake News! is an iOS app that presents players with a series of headlines to guess whether they are factually correct or not, by swiping left or right.
The aim of the game is to help readers realise how much of the web’s news is factually inaccurate and encourage them to think twice and research stories, rather than just believing them blindly.
The game was created following new research from the Pew Research Center that revealed US adults believed that spreading false information has a negative impact on their democracy – so Fake News! is keen to resolve this issue.
