2017 VMA Winners Announced
Kendrick Lamar's Humble leads a hip-hop heavy list of winners at the MTV Music Video Awards.
Kendrick Lamar may find it more difficult to be Humble this week as his music video of the same name picked up five awards at this year's awards, including video of the year.
The music video, directed by Dave Meyers and The Little Homies, also won best hip hop video, best direction, best art direction, and best visual effects.
Although Humble was the only video to win multiple awards at the ceremony, held at the Forum in Inglewood, California, other winners on the night included Kanye West, Ed Sheeran and P!nk, who won the VMA equivalent of a lifetime achievement award, the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, which has previous been won by such iconic acts as David Bowie, Beyoncé and Michael's sister Janet Jackson.
Also winning an award was recent shots interviewee Ryan Staake, whose Wyclef Jean video, which we recently named our favourite music video of 2017 so far, won for best editing.
