SKYN's Alternative Hotel Guide Lists the Best Places to Get Sexy
Condom brand teams up with GQ and Condé Nast Traveler on Places of Intimacy, a tried-and-tested guide to the best 30 hotels around the world to get jiggy at.
What do you look for when it comes to choosing a hotel? Beautiful views? Boutique vibes? Or a sturdy chandelier to hang from while you're having no-holds-barred holiday sex?
Well, a new hotels guide, launched today by condom brand SKYN could certainly help you out with the latter. While the likes of Mr & Mrs Smith and LUX* might focus on the lobby's bleeding-edge design credentials or the gluten-free, vegan, spirulina-with-everything menu crafted by a Michelin-starred chef, Places of Intimacy - a compilation of destinations co-curated by GQ and Condé Nast Traveler - has an altogether saucier focus.
Available in both a luxe print edition, designed by French design house Irradié, and as an immersive digital experience (created by Stink Studios), the erotic guide brings together first-hand accounts about the most spacious bath, the most resistant curtains or the wildest carpet on which to get your rocks off - with every location tried, tested and reviewed by a crack team of 'intimate travellers' handpicked by the brand and its creative agency, Sid Lee Paris from a whopping 65,000 applications.
“After orchestrating a global recruitment via a digital experience that couples accessed through their smartphones, we recruited 12 couples in six countries," explain creative directors Céline and Clément Mornet-Landa. "For three months, we sent them to dozens of hotel rooms across the globe to test SKYN products in ideal conditions and tell us about the intimate spots that inspired their intimacy. In the guide, you’ll discover the photos and stories that they shared with us.”
“As the brand that champions intimacy, we were set on creating a global experience that imparts our “Feel Everything” promise in allowing our consumers to be a part of it," adds Jeyan Heper, CEO, LifeStyles Healthcare. "This is our testament that intimacy can indeed be found anywhere and everywhere, and an invitation to our consumers to go on a trip and explore intimacy."
So whether it's against the pillars at L’Appartement in Marseille, France; in front of a roaring log fire at Rush Creek Lodge, Yosemite or crawling up the stairs at Hotel VDL Stanley, Australia, you're sure to find a hotel that hits the (G)spot...
