With eight Christmas spots under his belt ( the latest of which was named the most effective ad of 2023 ), Aldi’s Kevin the Carrot is taking the summer to thaw out in between Yuletide adventures and has rejoined director duo Todd & Kylie from Psyop to save the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris! C’est magnifique!

The film opens on the news that the Olympic torch is missing, therefore the games cannot begin. Ever the optimist, Kevin is determined to light the torch himself and gets by with a little help from his Olympian friends including Team GB's rowing champion Helen Glover MBE and boxer Delicious Orie. By way épée catapult and y-fronts parachute, Kevin finally makes it to the stadium just as the lit match he was carrying with him on his journey lights his greens aflame! The first ever Olympic Torch Relay participant to be both torch and torchbearer, Kevin uses his flaming leafy bits to light the herald signifying the official start of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games.

Todd & Kylie have been pulling the creative strings, in partnership with McCann Manchester and Riff Raff, since Kevin’s inception and this marks the ninth instalment of the team inviting audiences into Aldi’s magical world of sentient produce. “We are beyond thrilled to have been a part of this phenomenal project,” said the duo.

Typically fans eagerly look to Kevin as the official forthbringer of the holiday season, but this latest chapter of the Kevin the Carrot story proves he’s the bearer of good tidings no matter the occasion.
