Bang TV are positively bursting to tell us all that they have welcomed Filipino-American director Lorenzo de Guia to the UK roster.

MD and Founder Jeremy McWilliams is grinning like he’s at an all-you-can-eat braai.

“We’ve been cyber-stalking Lorenzo for a while now and love his energy and his fabulous taste in eyewear. His reel speaks for itself but more importantly he slots perfectly into the house-style we’ve been building at Bang. Hardworking, collaborative directors that know how to draw the treasure out of a script.”

Originally from Southern California, de Guia is currently dividing his time between Brooklyn and Los Angeles. And his eagerness to crack into work from London led him straight to Bang.

According to de Guia, “Jeremy and Tim just wouldn’t stop calling so I said ‘Sure, whatever’. Actually, I think he may be called Tom or Todd or something.”

de Guia’s work combines realism, empathy and genuine emotion in sumptuous looking films, whether he’s working with A-list celebrities or non-professional performers making their screen debuts. “I’m a big believer that the only way you get better as an artist is to find those stories that hook deep into you. The ones that get under your skin and keep you up at night are the ones worth doing.”
