Director Stephen Agnew at DOGEATDOG directs RUNNING a 6-minute cyclical, cynical, strange ouroboros depicting a cult of old timey misfits worshiping a cow skull.

Does it have special powers? Is this a cult? Is a cow actually a very fat dog? Is there just a mind-altering fungus growing on all the bread? Probably.

We follow said group through multiple decades of hallucinatory vignettes, fuelled by Agnew's own deep love of horror and folk stories. We tumble deep down the rabbit hole via pit stops at Heaven’s Gate, David Ike’s wardrobe and Dario Argento, culminating in a data-moshed sequence that feels like an intrusive CT scan.

Agnew’s latest outing is his boldest and most fearless yet. With a tongue firmly in his cheek, Agnew conjures both the energetic, fizzing ferocity of an early 2000s indie gem, but with the claws and snarl of a late stage capitalism nightmare.
