Ford premieres the launch campaign for the Mustang GT Performance, on the same day that the world's most famous "muscle car" celebrates its 60th anniversary.

The production created by Wieden+Kennedy SP highlights the history and legacy of the sports car launched on April 17, 1964, which continues to excite generations and innovates once again with the arrival of the seventh edition in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Peru.

The film shot at Estación Mapocho in Santiago, Chile, is inspired by great cinema classics. It shows the new Mustang entering a warehouse of old cars, where it "awakens" its first version, from 1964. Together, they stage a "dance" within the environment, with drift moves performed with the help of professional Chilean pilot Milenka Cvitanovic.

"This film is about the 2024 Mustang but it is also about all the Mustangs produced by Ford since 1964. That's why we created this rescue, where the new Mustang emerges to remind the world that this type of car was made to always be in action mode," says Rafael Campello, group creative director of Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo.

In addition to the main 45-second film, formats of 30", 15", and 6" were created for TV and digital airing. The campaign will also have versions for social networks, including the making-of, exclusive interviews, and curiosities about the entire process. The film will also be aired in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Peru. The production was done by Rebolucion, in partnership with CANJA áudio.

"Few cars in the world have a history like the Mustang's, with six decades of continuous production, and can be called an icon. It has become a symbol of performance, lifestyle, and freedom, attributes that are honoured in this production," says Marcel Bueno, Marketing Director of Ford South America.
