Director Jake Dypka is the newest addition to Friend's growing roster.
Production company FRIEND are delighted to announce their latest signing to the roster, award- winning London based director Jake Dypka.
Jake’s career has been steadily skyrocketing since his humble beginnings editing martial arts DVD’s; early work directing Kate Moss for Topshop, through to his poignant Random Acts short for Channel4, Embarrassed, has lead to a slew of excellent commercial work for clients such as Just Eat, Babbel, Cancer Research, and more.
Dypka’s natural film making talent, coupled with his unique empathy and conveyance of the human experience, has defined him as a special new talent. He regularly combines traditional documentary form with drama and stylised cinematic techniques to make films that are visually rich yet honest. Within the inspired variety of his collection of work, his style has a romance and raw sensitivity to it.
On his move to Friend, Dypka says, "I’m really excited to be joining the team at Friend. I think they represent a very creative presence in our industry. As well as signing and developing some of the most exciting talent in London, good work comes first and that is essential to me as a director. Its a wonderful atmosphere of people who really care about the type of work they are making and thats the kind of place I want to be.”
