Dutch director Niels La Croix signs with Spears & Arrows for US representation.
Spears & Arrows has signed international food and lifestyle performance director Niels La Croix for US representation.
“Niels’ ability to combine contemporary food photography with natural and authentic lifestyle performance has set a new bar for food related ad films,” says Spears & Arrows Founder/Managing Director, Jason Wolk. “And, we are very proud and excited to introduce Niels to the US advertising market.”
La Croix is a Dutch director known for his unconventional approach to filmmaking. For the past decade, Niels has focused primarily on food-related commercials that blend unique food photography with fun and natural casting and performance to craft immersive and visually striking experiences that stand out in that crowded market. His directing style is marked by bold techniques that use unique lenses, custom set designs, motion control, and dynamic soundscapes to elevate the visual storytelling and emotional connection with viewers.
La Croix has worked visual magic for high-profile brands like McDonald’s, Heinz, Burger King, Nutella, Philips, and many more.
Outside of filmmaking, La Croix spent five years running a microbrewery and, in 2018, appeared as a jury member on the popular Dutch TV show Het Perfecte Plaatje (The Perfect Picture), a reality TV competition show where Dutch celebrities compete to create the best photographs.
Based in Rotterdam, La Croix travels the world for his work and enjoys exploring nature and local cuisine with his partner and two daughters.
