This year once again, Filmakademie invites film students and young filmmakers from all around the world to submit their innovative and creative work to the 16th PORSCHE AWARD.

The cooperation continues between the UK’s National Film and Television School (NFTS), the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg and Porsche, the main sponsor of the event.

Film students and other young filmmakers who are cutting their own path outside higher education or who recently graduated and haven't worked in the industry as their principal occupation for more than 3 years can submit their films in two categories.

The Classical Category comprises classical formats and campaigns up to 60 seconds (sub-category 1) as well as all other advertising formats including campaigns, branded entertainment, mobile productions and trailers up to 3 minutes (sub-category 2).

The Mobility Category comprises traditional car advertisements and other films related to modern and connected mobility. This could include spots for e-bikes, electric mopeds, car sharing and car2go, quick-charge station infrastructure or mobility apps. Film submissions may be up to 60 seconds (classical format for TV, cinema or internet), or up to a maximum of 3 minutes for other advertising film formats (branded short, internet version, integrated campaign, etc).

The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, 31 July 2019.

As every year, three financial prizes are awarded in each of the two categories:  €3,911 (1st prize), €2,911 (2nd prize) and €1,911 (3rd prize).
