Pink Rabbit expands with new partner and directors
Amsterdam-based production company Pink Rabbit adds director duo Olivia Lonsdale and Sterre Rutten to its roster, with Niels Visser joining as partner.
Dutch production company Pink Rabbit has announced a key expansion to its team with the appointment of Niels Visser as partner and the addition of directors Olivia Lonsdale and Sterre Rutten to its roster.
Visser joins the company after a decade working on national and international campaigns as a producer across various production houses in the Netherlands. He will work alongside founder Mireille Lampe and executive producer Ismael ten Heuvel to shape the company’s creative direction and long-term strategy.
“In the past ten years, I’ve worked with almost every commercial production house in the country,” says Visser. “When Mireille approached me, I was honoured. Pink Rabbit has built a strong reputation, and I immediately saw potential in joining and growing the company.”
Lampe adds: “Growth comes from within. We’re not looking to replicate what we’ve done before, we’re focused on evolving, sharing responsibilities, and staying creative. Niels aligns perfectly with the future we’re building.”
Heuvel echoes the sentiment: “Niels brings energy and insight to the team. Although we are very different, we share a passion for creativity and collaboration.”
The company also welcomes two new directors to its roster: Olivia Lonsdale and Sterre Rutten.
Lonsdale, already known to Dutch audiences as an actress, has developed a directing style described by the team as poetic and character-driven, with a strong sense of rhythm and emotion. “Olivia brings a new tone to our roster and, at the same time, feels like she’s been part of the family for a while,” says Lampe.
Rutten, a young director with experience in both fiction and commercial formats, joins as part of Pink Rabbit’s continued investment in emerging talent. Her recent short film Knor drew attention for its emotional storytelling and visual language.
“Sterre’s work plays at the intersection of reality and fiction,” says Visser. “She brings humour and vulnerability into her films and highlights moments often overlooked. With Olivia and Sterre on board, we’re strengthening our creative identity.”
With a roster that includes Ismael ten Heuvel, Rogier Hesp, Teddy Cherim, and Juul Op den Kamp, Pink Rabbit continues to focus on diverse and distinctive storytelling while fostering a collaborative and inclusive production culture.
