What’s the first music video you remember being impressed by?

I remember first watching the Kylie Minogue - Come Into My World video directed by Michel Gondryand being blown away. The meticulous detail that would have been required to shoot the video is crazy. He is an incredible director.

And what’s your all-time favourite music video?

Without a shadow of a doubt MIA - Born Free directed by Romain Gavras. This video is an incredible piece of art. It has all the ingredients, it's emotive, striking and timeless. It carries a powerful message that’s still relevant today.

Special mentions to Jamie XX - Gosh, also directed by Gavras, and Paolo Nutini - Iron Sky directed by Daniel Wolfe. I love both of those videos.

What other directors/artists do you look to for inspiration?

In terms of music videos, directors that inspire me would have to be: Hype Williams - I just loved the afrofuturistic style he created, he defined an era of music videos. Dave Meyers - A visual genius who has consistently pushed and pushed the artistry in music videos. Romain Gavras - I love his work and the wow factor that he brings to screen. Also Meji Alabi and KLVDR, who are both friends of mine, are making some sick stuff.

What are you listening to at the moment?

Right now I’m listening to Ghetts, his new album Conflict of Interest is coming out soon and it’s sounding crazy! He’s currently in the rap form of his life and just keeps getting better and better. He’s unreal!

What’s your favourite bit of tech, whether for professional or personal use?

I’ve been trying to think of something cool to say but it's gotta be my laptop. It does it all.

What artist(s) would you most like to work with and why?

There’s so many! I would love to work with Rihanna as she is someone who puts everything into her videos. She’s such a great performer and it would also mean that we’ve got some new music to tump as well!

How do you feel the promo industry has changed since you started in it?

I would say it's definitely more accessible, which is a good thing. Being involved in music videos was something that might not have seemed attainable for everyone. It’s way more inclusive now and it's something that people from all backgrounds can hopefully see as an option. God willing in the future it becomes more and more that way.

Where do you see the music video industry being in five years’ time?

I feel like we are going to become more saturated with a plethora of artists and videos, so hopefully in turn inventiveness and creativity will increase, as we try to stand out and capture people's attentions and as creatives look to make our mark.

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know…

Ha! I used to act and was the lead in the Roll Deep - Badman video directed by Jake Nava.
