PRETTYBIRD UK is building upon its roots as a leader in the artistically-minded commercial and music video space by onboarding industry veteran Emily Rudge as the company's Managing Director.

Her hiring reinforces PRETTYBIRD UK's long-held reputation as one of the most inclusive global creative communities in the entertainment industry. In her new role, Rudge will reinvigorate the development of PBUK talent while remaining on the pulse of filmmaker discovery. She will also support the company's growth and creative direction, leaning on her 15 years of experience in the film and TV industry.

Rudge will be working closely with Head of Production Fiona Bamford-Phillips in London, as well as counterparts in the US, including CEO Kerstin Emhoff and President Ali Brown. Rudge succeeds longtime partner Juliette Larthe, who stepped down earlier this year to focus on independent production in feature films.

Kerstin Emhoff, CEO says: “The UK has always been integral to PRETTYBIRD’s growth. Juliette Larthe played a key role in establishing our reputation for cultivating diverse talent and exploring both traditional and unconventional creative paths. We’re excited to build on that legacy with the addition of Emily Rudge, whose extensive experience and passion for filmmaking will help us scale to new heights.”

Ali Brown, President adds: “Emily’s passion for finding and building talent and pushing for access and opportunity is so critical in this moment of time where clients are nervous to deviate from the norm. Her experience as a producer in commercials, music videos, and the agency side, as well as her experience launching companies, gives her a unique ability to speak all the languages needed to gain the trust of clients, agencies, and talent and a fearlessness that is inspiring.”

Fiona Bamford-Phillips states, Head of Production: “I very much look forward to working with Emily on this exciting new chapter at PRETTYBIRD UK. We are excited to continue developing the great breadth of work and opportunities for our talented roster together and to continue nurturing amazing new directors."

Emily Rudge says, “I’ve always looked to PRETTYBIRD as being a trailblazer within the industry. Their commitment to diversity is in their DNA and their unique approach to discovering incredible talent truly sets them apart. I am thrilled and honoured to be joining this mega team of powerful women, and excited to see where this next chapter takes us.”

Prior to joining PRETTYBIRD, Rudge held roles as managing director and executive producer at Not Just Any, executive producer at RadicalMedia London + Berlin, and head of content and music at Iconoclast. Her expansive portfolio includes work for major companies and organisations such as Wieden + Kennedy, Ogilvy & Mather, Serpentine Galleries, Arts Council England, BBC, Revolution Films, National Geographic, and Sky.
