The Norwegian Women’s National Team gets the name they deserve
Spot directed by Lasse Nyhaugen & Niels Windfelt.
To announce its sponsorship of the Norwegian National Football Team, DNB takes a stand in support of one of the best teams in the world.
Norwegian agency Try is behind the campaign, with Motion Blur producing the spot.
Teaming up with the captain of the women’s national team, Maren Mjelde, DNB is breaking down prejudices all too common in women’s football. Through the film we see Mjelde slamming a football into an unknown cement object, resulting in the cement crumbling to the ground with the last kick. The object is revealed to be the word “Women’s National Team”, which has transformed into “Winning National Team” through Mjelde’s hard kicks.
Given the incredible track record of the women’s team, which includes winning the 2000 Olympics and generally performing much stronger than the men’s team, it’s about time they are recognized for what they are - the Winning National Team.
