XBlades Media House announce the signing of a new pilot, Colas Feuille, an expert in extreme sports Drone content creation.

He will be joining the FPV Circle, XBlades Media House’s collective of award-winning first-person-view (FPV) drone cinematographers.

Feuille is an adrenaline junkie through and through, raised on the slopes and skiing for the French National team, he was on his way to the Olympics by the time he was a teen. However, disaster struck at the age of 17, when Colas seriously injured his knee (ACL, then patella twice!)

His professional skiing career over, he consequently became a ski instructor, teaching people to scuba dive during the off-season. This gave him some invaluable professional experience, he developed his filming skills in perhaps two of the most difficult environments to film in: snow and minus temperatures, as well as underwater! Not only that but he knows exactly how crazy athletes move as he used to be one himself!

After continuing to ski for fun, freeriding & freestyling, and breaking the rest of his body in the process, he discovered FPV drones & FPV Cinematography through YouTube, while in recovery for breaking two of his vertebrae after a badly landed double backflip.

The combination of a love for all things tech and being an extreme sport fan from birth, fuelled the beginning of a FPV addiction almost immediately for two main reasons; The thrill of being able to fly a camera exactly the way he wants with extreme dynamism & the ability to keep feeding his adrenaline addiction, while staying clear of the hospital!

Since then, Feuille has fully committed to FPV, a natural perfectionist he is only just starting to be happy with the results of his work, three years later. Due to his sporty background, he’s fit and strong, often carrying his gear up mountains to fly, he jokes he’s the 4x4 of FPV Cinematographers! Colas has even converted a van, fitting it with solar panels, giving him the freedom to go on adventures, filming FPV without limits anywhere.

Being the only “Geeky” guy in his family, Feuille has always been interested in videos, cameras, and editing. He experienced the early days of YouTube with his alpine sport addiction, creating videos with his friends and seeing the potential of the viral social media world from back then. Feuille was also an avid gamer, he told us: “I reached the rank of Master in Starcraft 2, which put me in the 2% of the best players in the world - this is quite an achievement if you know the gaming world!”.

Commenting on his built-up resilience, Feuille said: “I like it when things look impossible as I’m not scared of pushing myself to the limits. My skiing and scuba diving past gives me an extra edge, making me able to resist terrible weather conditions and scary extreme environments. Having quite a bit of experience with cold or wind, I’m happy to fly my drone in any weather condition, I would not say it’s easy, but it’s definitely doable.”

Ever heard of wingmen? The adrenaline aficionados that fly through the air using a wingsuit, often reaching dive speeds of up to 250kmh? Well, Feuille has built a reputation for being one of the best FPV pilots to film these extreme athletes, an accolade he should be very proud of. His videos have hit 40/50 million eyeballs across social media platforms.

Richard de Aragues, Founder & FPV Director at XBlades Media House, commenting on the addition of this exciting, young talent, said: “Colas truly is a perfectionist in the most extreme way! His exhilarating background has given him the perfect foundation on to which he can build a very successful FPV career. We’ve been impressed with his work and eagerness to constantly improve, finding new ways to pioneer in his niche, and we are very happy to welcome him onboard.” We are currently talking about some very exciting projects with the leading stars of Wingman flight in the Extreme sport community.
