Following on from last year's Cornish-language ad, Kelly's of Cornwall and isobel are continuing their county-focused campaign with a series of digital ads directed by Mark leary of Swerve Presents. In these ads, Amateur, Escape, Excited, and Knackered, the voice of Dawn French takes us through some key Cornish words:
Lose your football up a Cornish tree? Then it's gwari deu (game over). Lose your way on a Cornish hike? You'll be kemyskys (puzzled). Get stuck behind some Cornish cows? Must be prys fysk (rush hour)!
Those Cornish cows, however, create something Cornish that needs no translation; Kelly's ice cream flavours like Berry Eton Mess and Honeycomb Crunch.
These digital spots follow The Parlour, Kelly's 2016 ad starring an ice cream seller speaking Cornish that got nationwide attendyans (attention).
