Ninja Theory Run Live Q&A with Game Character
The game developers use cutting-edge live animation to offer gamers the chance to interview a video game character.
If you had the chance to interview your favourite video game character what would you ask them? Perhaps you could ask Mario when he gets the chance to actually do any plumbing, or ask Donkey Kong what exactly his beef is with barrels.
Both of these characters could be contactable in the future thanks to Ninja Theory, a game developer that are hosting the world's first live-streamed Q&A with a video game character to promote the upcoming launch of their game Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, the trailer for which is below:
Using motion capture technology, the eponymous Senua will be brought to life live on Facebook Live, with actress Melina Jeurgens (who voices the character in the game) providing the voice and movements of the character who will be animated live in CGI, and will answer questions from gamers submitted via Twitter and Facebook.
Although this is the first time this has been done with a video game character, this stunt was preceded by one featuring animated band Gorillaz, who took part in a live Q&A in April 2017 to promote their most recent album:
For those looking to quiz the Hellblade heroine, the live event is taking place Tuesday, June 27th 5pm BST / 9am PST.
