As part of cosmetics brand Burt's Bees Bring Back the Bees campaign, which aims to draw attention to dwindling populations of the buzzing insects and increase their numbers, Drum (Omnicom UK's content agency) created Flower Shop.
As a hidden camera video shows, customers would enter the shop and begin to put bouquets together, only for flowers to start disappearing through moving walls, flowerpots with false bottoms and more. Cameras captured the bemused looks on the customers' faces before the true was revealed to them along with more information about how flowers will disappear in the real world too if bee populations vanish.
This stunt is part of a wider Bring Back the Bees campaign which is now in its second year. Other elements have included Selfless Selfie a selfie filter featuring wild flowers, and a series of flavoured lip balms benefiting the cause. With both of these, for every person who used the filter or bought a lip balm, Burt's Bees planted 5000 wild flower seeds.
