Get some strawberries and cream in and read our guide to the best of 2017's Wimbledon-themed ads.
In the London events calendar, it's SW19's time to shine at Wimbledon kicks off for two weeks of tennis, celebrity spotting, and being sold stuff through vaguely tennis-themed ads.
On the note, here's a round-up of this year's Wimbledon-themed ads. See you on Murray Mound or our preferred Wimbledon location we just invented, Nadal Nearby Pub!
Lanson: Celebrating 40 Years of Champions
Space raise a glass or two of Lanson champagne to the champions of Wimbledon in this montage-based ad celebrating four decades of partnership between the competition and the champagne brand.
Wimbledon: A Year in the Making
In fact, Space had a mini-monopoly on Wimbledon campaigns this year, with the agency also creating an OOH campaign for the Wimbledon Championship itself. Displayed by Wimbledon and Southfields station, the series of posters (one for each month of the year) show how Wimbledon is for life, not just July, unveiling all the work that goes into the championship year-round.
Wimbledon: 140 Years/Under the Skin of Tennis
McCann London also worked with the All-England Club this year to create a series of online content videos. In the first, 140 Years, Friends Electric's Lucas Zanotto uses over a century of images to create a stop-motion history of the tournament...
...while in Under the Skin of Tennis they also team IBM to give us a unique view of a tennis player at play.
BBC: WimbledON
It's balls, balls everywhere in BBC's ident for their coverage of the tournament. In the vid, directed by The Dempseys of Knucklehead for Y&R London, tennis balls are hit everywhere, including locations across the UK and even into a few of the broadcaster's top shows like Eastenders and Doctor Who.
Evian: WimbleWatch
Evian and We Are Social took the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it' approach this year, with the brand bringing back their 2016 (and 2015) campaign featuring tennis players as babies and broadcasting WimbleWatch, their branded content series providing an alternative round-up of the day's tennis. The difference? This year the show is broadcasting on Facebook live.
