YDA Jury Chairman for 2020, Karim Bartoletti, continues his discussions with former winners as he talks to Thessa Meijer.

Meijer picked up a Gold Screen award as well as the Special Jury Prize in 2019 for her fantastic short film The Walking Fish. In this conversation she and Bartoletti discuss the inspirations for Meijer becoming a director, the practicalities of shooting in a culture and language that isn't her own and what she was able to learn by doing so, as well as the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the industry.
