Production company Fela has signed director and writer Audrey Ellis Fox for North American representation.

Her work spans film, commercials, and music videos, drawing from a background in acting, choreography, music production, and installation art.

She has directed projects for brands including Nike, On, Gatorade, Amazon, Adidas, Coach, Puma, Foot Locker, New Balance, Motorola, and Vogue/Condé Nast. Her collaborations have included Salma Hayek, Zooey Deschanel, Heidi Klum, Hailey Bieber, Khalid, Jessica Alba, Simu Liu, Future, Sha'Carri Richardson, Chloe Bailey, and Vanessa Bryant. Her work with Avril Lavigne, Travis Barker, and Blackbear earned an MTV VMA nomination.

In addition to commercial work, Ellis Fox has written and directed films that have screened at Oscar-qualifying festivals. Her short films Patricia Drive and Retreat have been selected at multiple events, while her script NDA was included on the 2024 Black List and is currently in development. The script was also selected for the 2023 Women in Film x Black List Feature Residency programme.

A third-generation Angeleno, she studied at Brown University and built a career across multiple disciplines. Her experience as an actor informs her directing style, while her background in production gives her a broad understanding of the creative process.

“My favourite feeling in the world is being completely immersed in the directing process—concepting, creating, and collaborating,” said Ellis Fox. “Fela is committed to storytelling that is rich in style, and they do it with incredible heart. I’m excited to explore new projects with Fela.”

Taj Critchlow, Founder and Managing Partner at Fela, added: “Audrey’s vision and dedication set her apart. Her work carries a distinct approach to craft and precision. With her background in acting, choreography, writing, and producing, she brings a broad range of skills to the table. Beyond that, she’s a true professional, and we’re excited to get started.”
