Carefree Carer's selfless stories

Award-winning director Jason Smith helms this emotionally impactful series for Carefree Carer, a UK charity that offers unbooked hotel rooms to people who spend the rest of their time caring for others.  

Through raw personal testimonies paired with sensitive and subtle shots of the subject, the films highlight the difficulties of being a full-time carer for a loved one.

Most importantly, they demonstrate how the role can sometimes feel like a burden too big to bear, emphasising how crucial it is for carers to have a time and place where they can take a break from their responsibilities. 

Production and post-production costs were covered through the generosity of Presence, Gramercy Park Studios and all of the editors, mixers and crew that donated their time to work on them.
