Former Chelsea player Joe Cole fronts this new campaign, created in-house at the football club, which starts off as a celebration of the club's 116th birthday before focussing on celebrating Londoners instead.

The short film celebrates real Londoners who have shown incredible resilience, creativity and entrepreneurship during the past, testing twelve months. Featured in the film are businesses such as pizza parlour, Love Triangle, which donated pizzas to local food banks, a pandemic-created radio station which brought Black communities together over the last year, as well as individuals like William Sevigny Stevens who helped support his local community through the pandemic.

Featuring inventory typically available only to major partners, the successful applicants to the advertising scheme will benefit from a digital campaign headlined by a branded story on the club’s own Instagram channel, published to 25.5million followers. The opportunity is open to businesses with fewer than 50 employees, and the application deadline is Friday March 26.

Proud of London is our way of showing how incredibly inspired we’ve been of the city we call our home," said Gary Twelvetree, Chelsea FC Marketing Director. "London is full of creative minds that push boundaries, support each other, and adapt to what has been an unprecedented challenge through the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns. We hope that we can continue to support this great city, just like it has supported us."
