In collaboration with agency Burns, American male grooming product company Old Spice has launched this fantastical campaign set aboard a stinking pirate ship.
Directed by Martín Jalfen through Roma, the film tells the story of an unfortunately fresh-smelling crew member who is sentenced to walk the plank, when his unbelievably good scent gets him mistaken for an intruder.
The brilliantly crafted story ends with an unexpected twist, when the protagonist rides away on a seahorse – a witty riff on the brand’s beloved 2010 ad, The Man Your Man Could Smell Like - which memorably featured star Isaiah Mustafa proclaiming ‘I’m on a horse’ while mounted on a white steed.
