What’s the most creative advertising idea you’ve seen recently?

I’ve always loved Super Bowl ads for their big, bold creativity. They’ve changed a bit over the years, but you still get those moments of pure brilliance, where a campaign does something totally unexpected and sticks with you. I always get excited when brands take risks and tell a story in a fresh and exciting way.

Something super-creative I saw recently was this great post on LinkedIn reviewing some of the most creative print ads, everything from Nespresso to Bic pens - it was really inspiring!

What website(s) do you use most regularly?

At the moment, it would be LeChat (I’m French) for brainstorming. It’s way more efficient and much more concise than Google. I use it for research and to help me with copywriting.

What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought?

I don’t buy tech, I rent it. There is a very cool website called Grover where you can rent tech monthly or annually, anything from phones to PlayStations and even patinettes (scooters). It’s amazing!

What product could you not live without?

My robot hoover. Best investment of my adult life! Actually, it’s a hoover AND a mop - with a dog and a baby, it’s life changing.

What’s the best film you’ve seen over the last year?

I love animated movies, and loved The Wild Robot and Flow. Both beautiful and poetic!

What film do you think everyone should have seen?

Incendies. One of Denis Villeneuve's first movie. The filmography, the music and the story... just wow! Absolute shivers.

What’s your preferred social media platform?

Instagram, because I find it a great tool for learning, discovering and finding out more about places and researching recipes.

What’s your favourite TV show?

I love The Graham Norton Show, or Gogglebox. I think the concept of watching people on TV watching TV is super-simple, yet so entertaining! And I'm a massive fan of different series. I probably watch more series’ than movies. I have just finished watching Yellowstone.

What’s your favourite podcast?

I listen to Psychopedia for a bit of true crime guilty pleasure and Diary of a CEO for some great food for thought.

What have you been most inspired by recently?

I’ve been going to some great networking events. People have so many great ideas - it’s really stimulating and gets my mind all fired up. I regularly attend Mallorca Entrepreneurs meet-ups, or go to wine tastings, or walking dinners in Palma.

If you could only listen to one music artist from now on, who would it be?

Hans Zimmer, all day long. Whether it’s when working, walking, driving... his music is timeless. Some of my favourites are This Land [The Lion KingCornfield Chase [Interstellar] and Injection [MI2] Great to listen to when working and I need to focus.

If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?

The way women are still portrayed in some adverts, and what we call the 'Pink Tax' in France – the fact that products which are pink are actually more expensive than regular items. In France, there is a great IG page called PepiteSexiste which raises  awareness of everyday sexism and stereotypes spread by advertising and marketing. Some things they highlight are just unbelievable.

Who or what has most influenced your career?

Without a doubt, living and growing up in different countries. I was always excited about all the new opportunities new countries brought. Having had the chance to work in many different countries, with people from all over the world, has really helped me evolve in my career.

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people wouldn’t know?

I share the same name as a French serial killer... (not great).
