What website(s) do you use most regularly?

To get a fuller picture of the zeitgeist I always make sure to visit a broad range of sites, this is true for news and also wider culture. I look for inspiration outside the beaten paths. In my tabs more often than not are; WiredOpen Culture and The Marginalian.

What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought?

A Project Carbon Evo record player that reigns in a 'new era' of listening to my record collection. The one I had before was the classic Braun record player, designed by Dieter Rams (the SK5). Just like the one featured in MOMA’s collection, it’s more of a museum piece now. I’m very passionate about music and music history, and I also play guitar. Needless to say, I always have my eyes on some new experimental effects pedals for my collection.

What product could you not live without?

Nantucket incense sticks, air-con, a Barcelona chair and a Bouroullec garden table to bring together friends and family.

What’s the best film you’ve seen over the last year?

The Boy and the Heron

What film do you think everyone should have seen?

Cinema was free and wild and expressive. Soy Cuba for the cinematography, all of Fellini for his wildness, Le Grand Buffet, Breakfast at Tiffanys, because Audrey Hepburn.

What’s your preferred social media platform?

YouTube for everything DIY and going down music rabbit holes.

What’s your favourite TV show?

The Sopranos. The character development and journey that James Gandolfini takes you on is unrivalled in television history (Bryan Cranston came closest with Breaking Bad).

What’s your favourite podcast?

Timesensitive.fm is a very well researched podcast full of in-depth conversation and inspiration. A wide range of guests from a multitude of fields; the best from art, fashion, design, food, landscaping and much more.

What show/exhibition has most inspired you recently?

Huma Bhabha at David Zwirner in Chelsea NYC was amazing. Then, seeing Alex Katz’ Gesamtkunstwerk, with works created over eight decades at the Guggenheim was unmissable. Experiencing that collection, spiralling upwards at the Guggenheim, united both the artists’ work as well as highlighted the timeless vision of architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

If you could only listen to one music artist from now on, who would it be?

Impossible to narrow it down to one!

If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?

The increasing culture of short-termism in advertising, and it becoming a service industry vs. a real partner in helping to shape brands for the long term.

Who or what has most influenced your career?

A mindset of continuous learning, and being open to a forever changing landscape in technology and new ways of communication and media. Because, at the core, there’s always the soul of the idea.

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know

I’m currently creating a playground for butterflies, hummingbirds and insects by planting native plants that pollinators love.
