There's little that can quash that cringe-worthy feeling when caught out in an act of idiocy, but, with their debut campaign for iconic British brand Ribena, BBH are suggesting a cheeky sip can calm the moment.

Sporting the tagline Chin Up, the campaign launches with two hilarious spots - Parking Palaver and Reflection - that take an essential truth and slowly ramp up the surreality (talking kitties anyone?) in an endlessly likable and entertaining fashion.

With some spot-on comic timing from Mindseye director Thomas Ormonde, plus the pitch-perfect addition of a VO from comedy hero Bob Mortimer leaning into the punny "when it’s Ri-bena bit awkward" gag, this brilliant brand repositioning is a proper ad-break winner.

"BBH’s clear-eyed thinking about the direction the brand must head in makes a huge amount of sense," comments Charlotte Flook, Head of Ribena at Suntory Beverage & Food GB&I. "The creative way they’ve brought it to life with Chin Up is a joy.”

“It’s not every day you get the chance to take an iconic, beloved British brand and reimagine it to the world," adds Helen Rhodes, Executive Creative Director at BBH. "We took this task very seriously but we also had a lot of fun doing it.

"Animatronic cats are just the start. This is a brand platform with endless possibilities to get Ribena talked about in culture and beyond. One awkward moment at a time.”
