This powerful campaign from Toronto agency Cossette and Spy Films launches the SickKids Foundation’s new paediatric care initiative called Precision Child Health (PCH).

PCH is a bespoke approach that homes in on individual patients’ profiles, accounting for everything from their neighbourhood to their genetic history. Using state-of-the-art tech and data analysis it aims to diagnose childhood ailments more speedily, treat them more effectively and prevent conditions developing in the first place.

The campaign is anchored by a film based on the tragic case of a SickKids patient named Nathan. While his genetic heart condition, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, was known about, the hospital did not have the tools or technology to understand his risk of sudden cardiac death. Tragically, Nathan passed away at the age of 10 in the school playground.

Set to the Billie Eilish track, Everything I Wanted, the film, Heal the Future, swirls back in time showing how, with PCH, Nathan’s story could have turned out differently.
