Road drowsiness is an understandable, but dangerous, side-effect of a long drive and it's harmful effects have been well-portrayed in PSA of the past.
Thankfully, for their statement on the snooze, FINCH and MJZ’s Juan Cabral, teaming up with Colenso BBDO, have eschewed the pile-up and instead presented a wonderful world in which our car takes care of business whilst we take care of zzz-ness.
Created for NRMA Insurance, Sleeper utilises the delicate storytelling Cabral is famous for, making a potentially dangerous situation something of a lullaby.
Of the production, Cabral happily remembers how “it truly felt like a small crew shooting a short film, everyone waiting for the moon to do it’s thing. Nick and his team were really championing the nuances of long trips… embracing the mystery of the night and sleep. The cast was lovely. Including the kangaroo that came to say hi for a little cameo.”
