Admitting that collecting air sick bags is a tad niche, one of the middle-aged men featured in this film for Dramamine admits, “Well it’s not been a great pick-up line, let’s put it like that.”

Another gentlemen with more than 7500 bags laments “the older ones, well you can’t even find them anymore, nobody saved them!” His tone suggests he's rather disappointed with the rest of the world for not treasuring these receptacles for unexpected upchucks.

When collector Bruce Kelly wrote to Dramamine pointing out that brand and the humble bag were both invented 75 years ago, the suggestion was that his community and its nemesis should mark this milestone together.

FCB Chicago’s resulting campaign comprises this gently comic film The Last Barf Bag: a Tribute to a Cultural Icon, which was helmed Sunny Sixteen's directing collective of Caleb Babcock, Taylor Pendleton, Joshua Martin and Niles Jeran

What’s touching is the respectful union of these two parties, despite their opposing missions. A spokesperson from Dramamine admits that they’re “kind of anti-barf,” while a collector sagely says if the bags have to die, it's best they "die with dignity."

However, the treasured puke pockets will live on in a pop-up exhibition in New York, a limited-edition collection of upcycled bags and a custom wearable art piece made from vintage bags
