In the first ad campaign for DIRECTV Stream, a new company comprising all of AT&T’s previously held US video assets, TBWA\Chiat\Day LA has created a fun spot that sees Serena channelling her inner Wonder Woman. 

Directed by Traktor, through Stink, the ad champions the brand’s core feature of offering the best of both worlds – live and on-demand entertainment. 

Titled Get Your TV Together, the campaign sees happy viewers switching seamlessly between the tennis star in action and a movie of the kick-ass hero. 

The two worlds collide in a colourful mall-based showdown that sees Serena vanquish the bolshy ball thrower. Among the shoppers getting in the way is John McEnroe who serves up his usual angry incredulity at the seriousness of the situation. 

The campaign’s digital and experiential components, created in partnership with Critical Mass, include digital extensions of the creative, an AR game running across Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat – and a soon to be released comic book.
