“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.” So wrote Charles Dickens in A Tale of Two Cities, giving the novel possibly one of the greatest opening lines of all time.

In this affecting film directed by Max Malkin through Prettybird UK, the lines are given extra weight as they’re spoken by a young girl walking to school. What, in these uncertain times, will her journey into the future bring?

“We had everything before us, we had nothing before us,” the girl concludes. As the positives and negatives continue, the ad poses questions about this uncertain era, ultimately concluding, that technology looks set to play a positive role in our lives and promoting BT's drive to improve connectivity and offer tech skills training to school children, families and businesses across the UK.

It's part of a total brand identity makeover, with new digital, PR, social and OOH output, plus, last Friday a record-breaking choreographed drone event at Wembley Arena featuring pop star Jess Glynne, host Tess Daly, and 160 dancing drones.
