Why buy a beard when you can grow one? Why just knit a homemade hat when you can buy a sheep and get your own wool?
In this new Christmas spot, directed by Einar Film's Torstein Bjørklund via Norwegian agency We Are Live, for Norwegian grocery chain Extra, we're introduced to two neighbours who're in competition to see who can save the most money over the festive season.
Through different Christmas settings we see the parsimonious neighbours practice their mantra of 'do it cheap'; when one decorates his Christmas tree with empty toilet paper rolls, the other one knits a beanie with wool from his own sheep... and so it continues. But they can agree on one thing: where to get value for money on their Christmas shopping.
