Anonymous Content signs filmmaker Zachary Wigon
Anonymous Content expands its relationship with the Victorian Psycho director, with representation through its commercial division.
Anonymous Content has signed filmmaker Zachary Wigon for representation through its commercial division, expanding its relationship with the Victorian Psycho director, who is also managed by the company’s literary division.
“Zach has an exceptional ability to create visually sophisticated, emotionally charged worlds and with Victorian Psycho, he has further established himself as a singular cinematic voice,” said Eric Stern, Anonymous Content Partner and Managing Director of its Commercial + Music Video Division. “We’re excited to build on our existing relationship by expanding it into the commercial space, where his distinct perspective and visual sensibility make him a compelling fit for brands seeking auteur-driven storytelling.”
“As demonstrated by the incredible response to Victorian Psycho in Cannes, Zach is a filmmaker whose creative vision resonates on a global scale,” said Anonymous Content Partner and Head of its Literary Department, Bard Dorros. “Expanding our relationship with him is a natural next step in Anonymous Content’s commitment to support artists across every facet of their careers.”
Victorian Psycho world premiered to rave reviews at this year’s Cannes Film Festival’s Un Certain Regard section ahead of a theatrical release from Bleecker Street this fall. Based on the novel by Virginia Feito, who also penned the adaptation, the film is set in Victorian England and sees an eccentric governess arrive at a remote gothic manor, where strange happenings stir suspicion that she’s not what she seems. Starring Maika Monroe, Jason Isaacs, Thomasin McKenzie, and Ruth Wilson, Victorian Psycho was produced by Anton and Traffic in association with Anonymous Content.
Victorian Psycho also reflects Anonymous Content’s unique position in the market and AC’s ability to fully leverage its flywheel, from the film’s production to representing Wigon across multiple divisions – all emblematic of the company’s ability to holistically champion its clients and projects in a myriad of different ways.
Wigon’s debut feature The Heart Machine, which he wrote and directed, premiered at SXSW in 2014 and established him as a distinctive voice in independent cinema. His second feature Sanctuary (2022), starring Margaret Qualley and Christopher Abbott, premiered at TIFF, where it was acquired by Neon for a May 2023 theatrical release.
Wigon is known for psychologically sharp, intimate storytelling that blends tension, pitch-black humor, and emotional precision. His work often explores power dynamics, obsession, and human vulnerability. A New York City native, he attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Wigon is represented by UTA, Anonymous Content’s Literary division, and Loeb & Loeb.
