Director Diego Nuñez Irigoyen studied Film at the Buenos Aires Film University and brings a background in both film and theatre direction to his work.

His distinctive voice is rooted in performance and storytelling, blending sharp wit with a strong instinct for creating tension through uniquely observed, deeply human moments.

His approach to casting adds spontaneity and energy to his films, resulting in work that feels fresh, nuanced, and consistently compelling to watch. Whether leaning into humour or something more intimate, Irigoyen's films are always driven by performance, instinct, and craft.

Alongside his performance-led approach, Irigoyen is known for ambitious, conceptually driven projects. The Almost Identical Experience, which collected eight Lions at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, including three Gold, saw him not only direct the film component but also develop the wider visual language of the installations and interactive elements.

His work has earned over a dozen Lions at Cannes, alongside recognition from Clio Awards, D&AD, Effie Awards and El Ojo de Iberoamérica, where he was named both Best Ibero-American Director and Best Argentine Director.

Expect laughs. Expect feeling. Expect to eat the best meal you’ve ever had at 10pm in the smallest restaurant you’ve ever been to, where he’s known by name.

ArtClass UK EP Sam Holmes said: “When I first met Diego I knew he was a director, because he told me. From that moment on, I looked at his work and thought: yes he is. To sum up. I agree he is a director.

Diego represents, to me, what makes our job so wonderful. His is an instinctive and natural talent. The way he works with actors is beyond inspiring. His process is immersive, exhilarating and the results; raw and sometimes unexpected. He can communicate, without dialogue, what others need hundreds of words to express. He also has a seemingly endless list of the best restaurants i’ve ever been to and it shows no sign of stopping anytime soon”
