Colour, VFX and design studio, Electric Theatre Collective, have welcomed Calvin Bellas to the fold.
Recognised for his cinematic approach to craft, Bellas joins the New York studio as Colourist, joining an incredibly talented roster of grading talent.
Bellas’ portfolio, built during tenures at Royal Muster and the Mill, is enriched by his Caribbean heritage. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, he draws authentic inspiration from the vibrancy and spirit of his culture, working closely with directors and DOPs to achieve intentional imagery rooted in emotion. His work spans high-profile campaigns for Nike and Google, as well as music promos and narrative-led features.
Of his new role, Bellas comments: “It’s telling beautiful stories that matters most to me, no matter the output. I’ve been inspired by the talent at ETC for years, so to finally join them feels serendipitous.”
Head of Colour Production, Olly Whitworth, adds: “Since opening the doors to our New York space fifteen months ago, we’ve worked with some incredible talent. Calvin is the perfect addition as we grow our team on the ground. Talented and with an infectious passion for colour, he’s a real asset and we know our clients will wholeheartedly agree."
